By Air :
Lengpui Airport is about 32 km from Aizwal. This airport is connected to Kolkata,
Guwahati and Imphal.
By Road :
Regular taxis and buses operate from Silchar in Assam. It takes 6 to 7 hours to
reach by road.
2. Vantawng Falls ( Near Thenzawl )
Main Attractions :
Vatawang Falls is the highest waterfall in Mizoram. This waterfall
is surrounded by dense bamboo forests.

It is 137 km from Aizwal and takes 4 to 5 hours to reach there.
3. Reiek Tlang

4. Hmuifang Tlang

5. Palak Dil ( Palak Lake )

Palak Dil is in the Saiha district of southern Mizoram. It is approximately 400
km from Aizwal.
From Aizwal, Saiha can be reached by private taxis. From there, local taxis
are available to reach Palak Dil.
6. Phawngpui ( Blue Mountain National Park )
Main Attractions :
It is the highest peak in Mizoram. This peak has become an
attractive center of biodiversity. It is a very good place for
trekking and camping.
How to Reach :
By Road :
Phawngpui is in Lunglei district. This place is about 300 km from Aizwal.
It is well connected by road.
Take a taxi to Thaltlang village and if you want an adventure trip, trek to
the peak from there.
7. Tam Dil Lake
Main Attractions :
It is a peaceful lake surrounded by forests. One can go boating
here and it is a great picnic spot.

This place is located near Saitual, 85 kilometers from Aizwal.
It is well connected by road and is a great day trip.

Inner Line Permit (ILP) :
Indian citizens need an Inner Line Permit (ILP) to travel
there. It can be obtained online or easily available at
Mizoram Houses in major cities of Mizoram.
Foreign Tourist :
Foreign tourists need to register their entry in Mizoram after arrival.
Best Time to Visit:
November to March :
This is the best time to visit as the weather is pleasant during
this period and there are many festivals and celebrations.
